Relations with International Institutions

OVERVIEW

The CSFD’s WG2 focuses on EU and international drug policy. It is mandated by CSFD to consider CSFD’s position on issues as they related to international bodies and events. It works on drafting inputs from CSFD for submission to such bodies and events, ensuring that the CSFD’s voice is heard on international matters of importance in drug policy

ACTIVITIES

The WG2 has engaged in a number of activities over it’s current mandate. First, the production of a series of policy papers and advocacy notes targeted at (primarily) EU actors with the objective of providing inputs and recommendations on key aspects of global drug policy from the CSFD’s perspective. Second, members of the CSFD have been supported to attend meetings of important stakeholders to provide key inputs on pertinent issues from a CSFD perspective. Third, a seminar with attendance from CSFD members, MEPs and representatives from other EU institutions and from member states which took place in the European Parliament in Brussels.
